Shadow Detective Synopsis

In the early 1930s, a mysterious death of a female college student in her dormitory occurs in Shanghai. Detective Guan Cen of the Central Police Station meets Lu Yizhen, a female college student who loves detective novels, and this leads to the uncovering of a seventeen-year-old child abduction case.

Two years later, Lu Yizhen participates in Shanghai's first batch of female police officers recruitment, and Guan Cen becomes her direct superior. In the police station, where cases are rampant, the two join forces to reopen the investigation into the child abduction case, dispelling the fog and nightmares that have shrouded them.
